Amanda Goetz on Redefining Hustle, Motherhood, and Connection

Dear Busy Mom,

If you’ve ever found yourself scrolling social media late at night—half searching for connection, half just trying to escape—you’re not alone. Amanda Goetz has been there too.

In our exclusive YouTube interview with Amanda, she opened up about how moms can redefine hustle, motherhood, and connection in a way that feels life-giving instead of draining.

🎥 Watch the full interview below:

Amanda reminds us that social media can play two roles in our lives: a tool or a numbing mechanism. When used as a tool, it becomes a way to learn, connect, and share your real experiences with other moms who get it. When used as a numbing mechanism, it’s simply another way we burn ourselves out.

She encourages moms to share even the unglamorous parts of the day—the endless snack crumbs, the toddler meltdowns, the homework battles—because those stories bring humanity back into our feeds. “You don’t have to aim for building a big following,” Amanda says. “It can simply be about connection with others in your same stage of life.”

It’s the same mindset she brings to her brand-new book, Toxic Grit: How to Have It All (and Actually Love It). Hustle isn’t the villain; it just can’t be a permanent lifestyle. Balance isn’t the answer either. Instead, Amanda urges us to embrace seasons of planting and blooming, to trust systems over micromanaging, and to give ourselves permission to adjust the “volume knob” of motherhood day by day.

You don’t have to do it all. You don’t have to show up shiny and perfect. But you can choose to live with intention, and to share your story in ways that remind other moms they’re not alone.

From one busy mom to another… You’ve got this! XO,
