Dive into Summer by Picking Up a Good Book

Dive into Summer by Picking Up a Good Book

The following is a guest post from momAgendaCOMM blogger Beth Anne Ballance.

I’m a book nerd.  I’ve written about my love affair with books on my personal blog, on my Babble.com blog, and maybe even here.  When I was 8, the local news interviewed me when they found me curled up on my own in a bookstore. They asked me on camera whether I would rather have a toy or a new book and I said without hesitation, “A book.”

I joined Battle of the Books throughout middle school, where I read roughly 200 books per school year on top of my class reading requirements. I read in college even when I was sick of textbooks. I have four bookcases stacked to the brim with my favorites, including three separate copies of Gone with the Wind – my pride and joy is a first year printing of the classic.

Summer is always the best time to curl up with a book at the pool, at the beach, or on those 100+ degree days where there’s nothing to do but sit inside and sweat it out.  Here are my personal picks for the summer – some of them I’ve already read, some are new to me, and some are classics!
