2014 means new beginnings and new fashions, especially the kind of fashion that has been around in the past making an appearance again. I am excited about some of the trends the experts have already predicted for this year.
First up is a bit of a nod back to the 20’s and 30’s when the Charleston was big, taking a cue from the ladies known as flappers. Fringe is going to be back in 2014! Personally, I was not a big fan of fringe in the past, but the way they use it on clothing, shoes, and jewelry, I venture to say you will find me sporting some fringe this year as well.
Two-toned shirts are another trend we will see this year. I actually own a white shirt with black collar that I purchased last year and love it. There is just something about the way a two-toned shirt looks that can be used for business, daytime, or a night on the town. I especially love the pink/black combination in my created set below:
Get your boots and belt buckles because this year is going to be another big one for the “cowgirl” look. I noticed about mid-way through last year, the country girl look was making its appearance and it’s going to stay strong this year, too. I am already eyeing a few pair of boots to wear with my jeweled jeans!
Get flirty and feminine with lace as it makes a huge comeback this year. Again, this was another trend I saw peeking out in 2013 but it will come out in full swing in 2014. I love feminine lace – anytime I wear anything with lace makes me feel pretty and ladylike.
