The following is a guest post from momAgendaCOMM blogger Toni Patton.
Thanksgiving can be a stressful time for those of us hosting. We’re so busy making sure we have enough room for our overnight visitors, planning the menu, and hoping the meal comes off just so. It’s enough to stress anyone out, but add three kids into the mix and you can feel my pain!
For our Thanksgiving holiday dinner, I go one of two routes – either traditional or Italian. Being part Italian, I like to switch it up occasionally and head toward my roots rather than the traditional Thanksgiving dinner. No matter what I decide, I make sure to use my momAgenda Weekly Meal Planner. Using the momAgenda weekly meal planner, I can not only plan out my pre-run and the actual meal, I can also keep track of what I have going on just like in the momAgenda Desktop!
Today I want to share with you my TWO perfect Thanksgiving Menus:
Italian Menu
- Rigatoni Pasta
- Homemade Sauce
- Homemade Meatballs
- Spaghetti
- Baked Pasta
- Lasagna
- Cannelloni (I cheat and buy these already made)
- Coffee and Espresso
Traditional Menu
- Turkey (Roasted and/or Fried)
- Ham
- Stuffing
- Cranberry Sauce
- Sweet Potato or Candied Yam Casserole
- Green Bean Casserole
- Macaroni & Cheese
- Fried Turnip Greens
- Minnie’s Chocolate Pie
- Caramel Pie
- Sweet Tea
Time management is so important around the holidays and the momAgenda Weekly Meal Planner really is perfect for planning out your whole meal, keeping up with to-do list and helping you stay a little more sane during the holidays. It’s been a great help for me this season as I plan out my menu, including what needs to be cooked as well as scheduling school/sports happenings in between.
How are you staying organized with your holiday meal planning? What is your favorite Thanksgiving dish?
