The following is a guest post from momAgendaCOMM blogger Toni Patton.
It’s no secret I love fashion. I am constantly on the lookout for fun outfits, cute accessories and everything fashion has to encompass. Today I want to share with you some of the fashion trends to look for in 2013 because I adore the trends we are seeing already this year:
- 60’s style clothing. Some of the looks you will see this year take us back a few eras to the 60’s. Everything from dresses to accessories will have a 60’s feel to it.
- Flats are back. Being tall is over-rated. This year I believe we will see a boom in the flat industry. I am so excited for this to come out in a big way because I love my flats (TOMS and Ballet Flats). I love feeling like I am barefooted and flats do just that while keeping you looking cute. Pair flats with skinny jeans for the best look. But keep your tall shoes, too since those are not going away just yet!
- Get back to basics. While last year was all about those bright colors, I heard this year will be all about the blacks and whites. I have always been a big black/white kind of girl which always made for a boring closet…looks like I was just a fashion trend waiting to happen. The best thing about this color combo is they pair well together or with anything else (as long as you aren’t trying to pair black with brown). Don’t worry though, those bright colors you adore aren’t going out just because black and white is the big thing this year. Simply pair a black belt with a bright dress or bright shoes with a black dress.
- Go green. Along with the neutral color of black/white, according to Audrey from Mom Generations, green is going to be big this year. It’s such a pretty color for clothing. However, if you aren’t quite brave enough to wear a shirt or dress in green, have a little fun with that black/white look and pair it with some green accessories.
I am pretty excited about the fashion trends that are coming to 2013. All you have to do is take the first step to try some of the new trends and get fashionable!
What trend are you most looking forward to this year?
